From the Desk of Arlene Weichert, EVP of Strategic Accounts, InflexionPoint
November 21, 2024
This year’s Rockwell Automation Fair felt a little different for us. Instead of exhibiting, we attended as participants, and it was a great opportunity to step back and truly take in what’s happening across the industry. The energy, the ideas, and the focus on practical innovation stood out in a big way.
A Moment of Validation
One moment that really stood out was hearing Cyril Perducat, Chief Technology Officer at Rockwell Automation, use the phrase “inflection point” during his keynote. It wasn’t just a fun coincidence that it matches our name—it felt like validation. The industry is at a pivotal moment where technology, people, and processes are converging to create meaningful change, and the conversations at RAF reinforced that this isn’t just talk. It’s happening now.
A Shift You Can See
What I liked most about this year’s fair was how grounded the conversations were. AI, robotics, and software-defined automation weren’t presented as abstract ideas—they were practical, real-world solutions that businesses are already using. This isn’t about waiting for the future; it’s about solving problems today.
More importantly, these technologies are being integrated into workflows, not replacing them. Companies are finding ways to use tools like robotics and AI to complement their teams, fill gaps where needed, and make operations run more smoothly. It’s a smart, thoughtful approach that puts businesses and their people in a stronger position to adapt and thrive.
Why It Hits Home
Being at the fair reminded me why I’ve been passionate about this industry for over 30 years. This isn’t just about implementing technology—it’s about understanding what businesses need and helping them make real, tangible progress.
This year’s conversations reinforced that we’re on the right track. At InflexionPoint, our goal has always been to guide companies through moments like this—helping them adopt the tools and approaches that drive meaningful results without overcomplicating things. Seeing what’s possible now makes me even more confident in the work we’re doing.
What’s Next?
The Rockwell Automation Fair left me energized and optimistic—not in a futuristic, pie-in-the-sky way, but in a practical, let’s-get-to-work kind of way. The tools, the technology, and the strategies are all within reach, and it’s clear that businesses are ready to take action.
At InflexionPoint, we’re excited to be part of that journey. Whether it’s simplifying processes, helping teams adapt, or implementing the solutions that matter most, we’re here to help you take that next step.
